A little history
An ancient pattern with one surprising rule.
Magic squares have been studied for centuries. A normal square of order n uses each whole number from 1 through n² exactly once. That forces every completed line to have the same “magic constant.”
The constant is n(n² + 1) ÷ 2. The game calculates it for you, so you can focus on deduction: which missing value can make several lines work at once?
